During the Paganni or the so-called "dirty days" according to the Bulgarian folk calendar, Evil walks over the Earth with even greater power. These days are exactly 12 in number - from Christmas to Jordan Day. And in these days, the Bulgarian people need more than ever Light and something to protect them from this Evil. Thus was born "Dawn" - with a red thread to drive evil spirits away from you, with a delicately embroidered Rooster that crows first at Dawn - when the Dawn drives away the night (darkness) and ushers in the day (Light).
